PAW Patrol Wins Big at the Canadian Screen Awards and Nabs Two Daytime Emmy® Nominations
TORONTO, March 28, 2019 /CNW/ - Spin Master Ltd. (TSX:TOY; www.spinmaster.com), a leading global children's entertainment company, has won three Canadian Screen Awards, presented by the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television, for its global hit preschool show PAW Patrol. Following the adventures of 10 year-old Ryder and his six lovable rescue pups in Adventure Bay, PAW Patrol won in the Best Animated Program or Series, Best Sound - Animation and Best Original Music - Animation categories.
Two other Spin Master animated series were nominated for Canadian Screen Awards. Rusty Rivets, a show about two kids creating machines out of junkyard parts to save the day, for Best Preschool Program or Series, and newcomer Super Dinosaur, a story about a boy genius and his best friend, a genetically altered T-Rex, protecting the planet against evil for Best Direction - Animated Series and Best Sound - Animation.

These wins follow the recent announcement Daytime Emmy® Awards nominations for PAW Patrol and Rusty Rivets. PAW Patrol – Mighty Pups (a 44-minute special) received a nomination for Outstanding Special Class Animated Program, while both PAW Patrol and Rusty Rivets are nominated for Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Preschool Animated Program. The Daytime Creative Arts Emmy Awards Gala will take place on Friday, May 3rd in California.
PAW Patrol is also a 2019 Rockie Awards International Program Competition nominee in the Best Preschool Program category. The Rockie Awards is BANFF's flagship international programming competition celebrating excellence in television and digital content. The 2019 Rockie Award winners will be announced at the Banff World Media Festival, which runs from June 9-12, 2019.
