TORONTO, April 14, 2026 /CNW/ - Grief touches every life, yet society still treats it like a secret to be managed alone. From the death of a loved one to the end of a relationship, a health diagnosis, a career shift, or life's sudden upheavals, grief doesn't pause for work, school, or daily responsibilities -- and talking about it openly is still taboo. The Pathpal Grief Summit is changing that. This is a movement towards whole-person health.
Pathpal Inc., a Toronto-based wellness platform dedicated to supporting whole-person health and connection, is hosting the first Pathpal Grief Summit (PGS '26) on April 23, 2026 in Toronto. With a mission to normalize conversations around grief and provide accessible, on-demand tools and resources from day one (mypathpal.com), Pathpal is creating a space where grief is openly addressed, shared, and understood -- in workplaces, schools, communities, and homes.
"Grief shows up in every part of our lives -- in our productivity, our relationships, and our ability to be present," says Negin Chelehmalzadeh, CEO & Founder of Pathpal Inc. "The Summit exists to break the stigma, normalize the conversation, and give people the tools and support to navigate grief in a way that honors the whole person -- mind, body, and community."
A Day Designed to Move, Heal, and Connect
The Summit features a dynamic lineup of speakers including:
- Jess Sims – Peloton instructor, ESPN reporter, and Good Morning America contributor
- Jenn Harper – Founder & CEO, Cheekbone Beauty
- Jahmeelah Gamble – Vocal Empowerment Educator
- Danielle Spik, Sr. Executive Product Office, Telus Health
- Raia Carey – Coach and speaker, and EDI Consultant
- Steven Farstad, Mental Health Community Advocate
- Brian Coones, Mindfulness Teacher, Fitness Coach
- Brittany Compton, Founder & CEO, Wellness Monster
Alongside additional thought-provoking panelists and contributors.
Attendees will explore resilience, the mind-body connection, and grief in all its forms through keynote talks, panels, and immersive sessions, the Summit ends with music and movement facilitated by joyride. The event is open to in-person attendees in Toronto and virtually across the globe.
Trove Wellbeing: Caring for Body and Mind
Toronto-based Trove Wellbeing, a leading wellness brand supporting leaders through nervous system regulation and transformative healing, joins as a community partner at the Summit. Attendees will experience a guided visualization and meditation, and recharge in a thoughtfully curated wellbeing lounge featuring mini reset stations, journaling, vitamin boosts, red light therapy, a tea station, and opportunities to connect with their psychotherapist.
This dedicated space allows attendees to rest, recharge and ground themselves throughout the day.
"Grief touches us all. It's not just something we feel emotionally - it can affect our bodies too, shaping how safe, steady, and connected we feel within ourselves and the world around us," says Tanya Kololian, Co-founder of trove. "Supporting the nervous system is an important part of healing, and we're honoured to create space for that at the Summit."
By combining mental, emotional, and physical care, the Pathpal Grief Summit ensures attendees leave informed, connected, and genuinely cared for, while advancing Pathpal Inc.'s mission to build a society where grief is recognized, supported, and normalized.
