WENDAKE, QC, June 13, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - Gathered in assembly, the Chiefs of the AFNQL wanted to underline the recent passing of one of their colleagues, the Chief of the Naskapi Nation, Isaac Pien.
Several Chiefs wanted to acknowledge the life of a great hunter, a man who has always shown the greatest respect for the territory and its resources, indispensable to the development of the Naskapi Nation and its culture.
"The youths of the Naskapi Nation, as well as the youths of all our Nations can look up in the direction of this accountable and responsible Chief who preserved and lived his culture. He was always more than happy to share his extensive knowledge."

The Chiefs in assembly and the Chief of the AFNQL extend their sincere condolences to the family of Chief Pien and to the Naskapi Nation of Kawawachikamach.
