TORONTO, Oct. 2, 2015 /CNW/ - There are 6 registered Candidates battling for the MP seat of Spadina – Fort York, a newly created electoral district in the heart of Toronto. Aside from the top two NDP and Liberal veteran politicians Olivia Chow and Adam Vaughan, the Candidates running are the Conservative Sabrina Zuniga, Green Party's Sharon Danley, Marxist-Leninist Nick Lin and Michael Nicula from PACT – the Online Party of Canada.
Mr. Nicula is a 44 years old small business owner who resides in the iconic Tip Top Lofts building on Lakeshore and his IT SaaS / Consulting company has office on Spadina Ave. in the heart of Chinatown. He has a CPA designation, an Executive MBA degree and a Masters' in Architecture. Through his consulting business in the Public Sector for all 3 levels of government as well as private Sector, Mr. Nicula has acquired a wealth of business knowledge and understanding of how the government and economy works.
Michael Nicula, PACT Candidate: "Many people I meet on the campaign trail ask me: 'what do you stand for?' A minute is hardly enough, but the short answer is that PACT Platform is based on what the majority voters want; we lean Conservative when it comes to economy, Liberal in regards to civil liberties, we may support NDP's Social Assistance programs and we almost all are Green when we talk Environment. If you share these 'mix-and-match' thoughts, then PACT is your best bet on October 19th".
Asked about his more illustrious fellow Candidates, Mr Nicula says he's a frustrated voter, just like most other Canadian voters: "In 2011 I voted for the disappointing Ms. Chow, who let me and all other voters down when she decided to quit, an expensive move for voters who had to foot the almost 1 Million dollar bill – the cost of the by-election – as an illustration of the NDP-style disregard for public funds. Since she lost the Mayoral race, Ms. Chow wants her job back, adding insult to injury! Mr. Vaughan is just another spineless politician who once hosted a Proportional Representation event for 'Fair Vote Canada', then joined the Liberals and flip-flopped once elected. Also he voted for Bill C-51 in spite of his own voter base! He is one safe card up Mr. Trudeau's sleeve, not a true representative. I am shocked to see the polls; there seem to be many voters ready to take more abuse from these two career politicians!"
Party for Accountability, Competency and Transparency (PACT) is a non-partisan online political forum where all voters are welcome regardless of their political stripe, are treated equally and are invited to raise new issues, vote and comment freely. PACT demonstrates that there's another way of doing politics: using the advances in Internet technologies we can now vote and comment safely online, which allows us to pick and choose what we see good in each political platform rather than the mixed-bag that is any traditional political Platform.
