MONTREAL, May 7, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - Biotherm Homme, the Canadian leader on the men's skincare market, is a brand that stands for performance, masculinity and authenticity and encourages men to live exceptionally. Biotherm Homme's ongoing quest to support men who embody these core values has led them to pursue a partnership with endurance athlete, Sébastien Sasseville, as he runs across Canada on a personal mission to inspire, educate and empower others living with diabetes to pursue their dreams.
After receiving the diagnosis of type 1 diabetes in 2002, this cross country run is Sasseville's latest exploit in a series of extraordinary physical tests to prove to himself and others that anything is possible and nothing should hold you back from achieving your goals. Sasseville began the 7500 km journey to "Outrun Canada" on February 2nd in St. John's, NL and will finish in Vancouver, BC with a planned arrival date of November 14, 2014, World Diabetes Day.
To document Sasseville's journey, Biotherm Homme is developing a webseries of twenty video capsules of Sasseville's run across the country as he braves the elements and showcases tremendous physical and mental strength. The first two episodes of the webseries will be released on May 7th and will be available on http://outrun.canoe.ca, while the rest of the episodes will be released periodically over the next 30 weeks.
"Biotherm Homme is a lifestyle brand that I feel I can relate to. I feel privileged to work with a company that shares many of my values and encourages men to live exceptionally", says Sébastien Sasseville.
In addition to the new webseries, Sasseville will participate in various activities for the brand, including in-store appearances and online campaigns. As of May, there will be a dedicated microsite featuring the video capsules, run updates and social media posts that will allow Biotherm Homme fans to get to know Sébastien and follow him on his journey across the country.
"Sébastien is a dynamic and determined athlete that continues to challenge himself to push boundaries and go further", explains Minh-Dan Tran, Marketing Director for Biotherm in Canada. "His unparalleled determination and perseverance to excel are a perfect representation of Biotherm Homme's core values. He is a true inspiration for us all and we are pleased to support Sébastien on his journey across Canada."
