NEW YORK, Nov. 13, 2017 /CNW/ -- OUTFRONT Media Inc. (NYSE: OUT) today announced the activation of the first screens within its multi-stage digital signage project in Yonge-Dundas Square, Toronto.
The 10-year agreement includes the installation of 10 digital screens, 5 of which are exclusively for use by Yonge Dundas Square. These 5 screens will be used for community and event messaging that will augment the visitor experience at the popular city destination, one of the busiest intersections in the country.
"This marks a truly unique relationship, enabling OUTFRONT to partner with this key community and event space within Toronto. This project will dramatically enhance the visitor experience at events, while providing a vehicle for ongoing communication during non-event periods," says Michele Erskine, CEO, Canada for OUTFRONT Media.
"Yonge-Dundas Square is a unique space within the city and our project makes it possible for even the smallest community group to enhance its use of the square with an immersive digital display system. This is a unique collaboration between corporate and municipal partners that directly benefits the community. We're very proud to be breaking new ground in this way."
The project is expected to be completed by February 2018, with the activation of a spectacular four-sided Media Tower that includes strong branding elements for Yonge-Dundas Square. Toronto can look forward to a busy 2018 event season that will be fully supported by this unique digital installation.
