OSI Machinerie - Oakcrest Lumber Puts Their Trust in OSI and its SmartSwitch Process
SAINT-GEORGES, QC, Aug. 2, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - Oakcrest Lumber, located in Buena Vista, GA, has given the mandate to OSI Machinerie to design and fabricate its next wood floor production line according to the SmartSwitch process.
The OSI team will integrate a scanner (fabricated by the Centre de recherche industrielle du Québec), that will be connected with its Smartkut saw system. Moreover, OSI will provide side-matcher equipment which produces tongues and grooves flooring. Finally, OSI will ensure the automation, the installation and establish the proper operation of this new SmartSwitch production line.
Project delivery is expected by the end of 2012. Without disclosing the amount of the agreement, this contract is one of the most important in OSI history. "We recently noticed that the wood flooring market is about to restart and several manufacturers are already getting prepared for future grow in the years to come by investing in their equipments", noted Jean-Luc Croteau, sales director of OSI Machinerie.
Third SmartSwitch process on the US territory
This is the third SmartSwitch process to be sold in the United States lately.
