Inaugural Strainprint Green + Silver Report shows trends drawn from seniors' tracked cannabis use sessions
TORONTO, Oct. 10, 2018 /CNW/ - The inaugural Strainprint Green + Silver Report identifies trends of cannabis use among older Canadians. The first-of-its-kind Report coincides with Green + Silver: Cannabis and Optimal Aging presented by Business of Cannabis - an event series focused on older Canadian patients and consumers.
The Strainprint Green + Silver Report identifies three primary trends among older users on their leading cannabis use tracking app:
Among older Canadians, there are many differences in usage, depending on age and gender. From an age perspective, there are three age groups that show commonalities: 50-54, 55-59 and 60+. However, even within each age group, significant gender differences are also exhibited.
Older men are using in significantly different ways than older women - including how and where they purchase their cannabis and how they consume it.
Majority of treatment among the 50+ group is for physical aches and pains, however, anxiety and depression are top symptoms being treated by the younger cohort of men.
The full Strainprint Green + Silver Report will be released during the Green + Silver event series on October 11th and 12th presented by Business of Cannabis.
