OntarioLearn.com registers its 65,000th student
TORONTO, Sept. 29 /CNW/ - OntarioLearn.com, the Ontario Community College online collaborative system, has registered its 65,000th student. Started in 1995, OntarioLearn.com is a consortium of 22 Ontario Community Colleges servicing the rapidly growing market for online education.
OntarioLearn.com ranks as the largest provider of online courses in North America with over 1,300 college courses from which to select. Courses range from business, health, computer, human services, communication, and technology to recreation and leisure; from post secondary credit to general interest. In addition, the partnering colleges have all developed their own certificates and diplomas so that students can obtain these credentials online from their home. There are over 50 certificates that are completely online including Human Resource Management, Home Inspection, Medical Transcription, Library and Information Technician, Microsoft Specialist and Leadership Development studies.
Online learning affords students the flexibility to take courses when they are still working, when they work shifts, when the courses are not available in their community and for those who like the online learning benefits of having more one to one time with their instructors and peers and completing their studies from the comfort of their home.
Our online students are supported by our technical partner, Embanet, 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Any technical issues are addressed immediately.
