TORONTO, Jan. 7, 2019 /CNW/ - Today, the Ontario Nurses' Association (ONA) is launching the second phase of its public awareness campaign to remind Ontarians of the value of Registered Nurses (RNs). 'RN Proud' radio and Facebook ads will appear across the province.
"Registered Nurses are highly skilled, highly educated and dedicated to patient care," notes ONA President Vicki McKenna, RN. "The work we do impacts the lives of our patients, residents and clients. As RNs, we are proud of the work we do and passionate about being there for you."
The RN profession has faced many challenges over the past two decades. This campaign highlights the value that RNs play in our health-care system. Two 30-second radio ads put the focus on the pride RNs take in providing high-quality care and ask why RNs are being cut from the health-care system.
The radio and Facebook ads can be accessed by visiting http://nursesknow.ona.org.
ONA is the union representing more than 65,000 registered nurses and health-care professionals, as well as 18,000 nursing student affiliates, providing care in hospitals, long-term care facilities, public health, the community, clinics and industry.
