OTTAWA, Jan. 25, 2013 /CNW/ - Don't you deserve to win a CAJ Award?
The Canadian Association of Journalists reminds journalists that only two weeks remain to submit entries for the 2012 CAJ Awards program, featuring Canada's top investigative journalism award, the Don McGillivray Award.
The deadline for entries is Feb. 8.
Full information on how to enter the CAJ Awards, including how to submit entries online is now posted on the Awards section of our website. The deadline for the Student Award of Excellence is Feb. 28, 2013.
New for this year, the CAJ is using an online system to process both the submission of award entries and payment. Details, including step-by-step instructions, are available on the CAJ website.
"The CAJ awards program allows us to celebrate the best in Canadian journalism across all media," CAJ president Hugo Rodrigues said. "We encourage all journalists who had their work published or broadcast in 2012 to look at their body of work, find and submit their best for this worthy recognition."
The CAJ Awards finalists will be announced in late March or early April, with the winners announced at the CAJ conference banquet and awards gala at the Westin Hotel Ottawa on May 4, 2013. Registration for the conference will open soon.
The CAJ is Canada's largest national professional organization for journalists from all media, representing over 400 members across the country. The CAJ's primary roles are to provide public-interest advocacy and high-quality professional development for its members.
