, Rogers Communications and The Bay announced they have combined efforts to send a shipment of much-needed provisions from
Montreal
to
Haiti
via a dedicated Air
Canada
relief flight on
Saturday, January 16, 2010
to help with disaster relief efforts.
"All the devastation in
Haiti
can lead us to despair. But the country's challenges are not insurmountable. People can make a difference together," said Frank McKenna, Chair of ONEXONE. "Our collective efforts will help reduce the suffering. That's why we are asking Canadians to help out in any way they see fit. We have an important role to play."

These items include:
- Medical supplies: dressings, needles, IVs, IV solution, boxes of
syringes, and bottles of antimicrobial product
- Blankets, Woods 4-person tents, sleeping bags, flashlights and
batteries
- Aquafina water
Air
Canada
has generously donated cargo space on its Boeing 767-operated relief flight to transport these supplies to relief workers to distribute in
Haiti
.
The Rogers Family and Rogers Communications has donated
$250,000
to be distributed in funds and goods. In addition, Rogers Wireless and Fido are encouraging their customers to assist ONEXONE in helping those in
Haiti
by donating to Partners In Health:
Haiti
and other Haitian Relief Organizations. By sending the text message "HELP" to shortcode 1291 customers can donate
$5.00
CDN(1) to the Haitian relief efforts. Rogers is working with the ONEXONE Foundation to facilitate 100 per cent of donations in funds and goods to Partners In Health:
Haiti
and other Haitian relief organizations.
At the request of ONEXONE, Canadian Tire has also agreed to provide additional goods required next week to maximize the impact of monetary donations being raised by the Foundation.
