The Children's Wish Foundation's Wish-a-thon
From November 23 to December 21, 2012
MONTREAL, Nov. 23, 2012 /CNW/ - Wishing to bring joy to families who are deeply affected by the illness of a child, the Children's Wish Foundation launches its first Wish-a-thon. For 29 days from November 23 until December 21, this original fundraising event modelled on the Advent calendar will allow participants to discover a child waiting for his or her most heartfelt wish to be granted every day.
The public is invited to help The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada give children living with a life threatening illness the possibility having their most heartfelt wish granted by making a donation on www.wishathon.ca.
"Having a wish granted means more than escaping from the reality," explains Children's Wish Regional Director Laurent Larose. "It's a magical process that brings courage and hope to the child. As the Holiday Season approaches, the enthusiasm generated by the anticipation of the wish gives the whole family the chance to live a wonderful experience together."
Every donation entitles participants a chance to win an all-inclusive trip for two to the Mayan Riviera in Mexico, courtesy of Club Voyages Berri.
This campaign aims to raise awareness for the cause of children in addition to collecting funds to allow The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada to pursue its mission.
