"The Company is particularly pleased to announce that one of the products that it developed for the U.S. Military Green Round Program has passed all the ballistic tests required of this product. To our knowledge, this is the first component from any supplier that has successfully passed this complex battery of tests. This result should close out the current R and D effort on this program" stated Allen W. Maxin. "The Company is also pleased to announce that it has received an additional purchase order for one of the military products developed in 2012."
Consistent with offering our customers the highest level of technology possible, the Company has begun to implement the full function of the "Avatar" production and management control system installed over the last couple of years. This complex network captures real-time production data from the progressive heading systems at Omni-Lite and can display the information throughout the facility for the benefit of the Company's production and management staff. The visibility and accountability this system offers, when combined with the analytical capabilities embedded in the data stream has allowed the Company to increase its productivity substantially.
In an additional effort to provide the highest quality technical solutions available in the marketplace, Omni-Lite has purchased a Hommel Measurement System. This system is capable of the rapid and consistent measurement of most of the key component characteristics that Omni-Lite monitors with an accuracy of approximately 0.1 microns or 0.000039 inches. This system will be delivered to Omni-Lite in Cerritos, California approximately August 1, 2013 and will be initially utilized for military programs. This system and the options purchased are worth approximately $80,000 US. To aid in the design and production of the green diesel product line the Company has also purchased a Surface Profiling System. This system will allow the Company to measure and duplicate key surface roughness characteristics as mandated by many customers.
