MISSISSAUGA, ON, Aug. 8, 2018 /CNW/ - Just in time for back to school, Walmart Canada announced today the launch of Walmart Grocery Pickup in Manitoba. Grocery shopping has never been easier – or faster! Starting August 14, this free service will be available at multiple locations in the province, allowing consumers to shop for their groceries online on Walmart.ca/Grocery, or through the Walmart app, and pick up in just minutes at their local Walmart store. Walmart's Grocery Pickup is currently available at select stores in Ontario, Quebec, Alberta, British Columbia and now Manitoba.
With this new service, customers can place a grocery order for pick up from a location that is convenient for them, from the comfort of home, at work, or on-the-go. Walmart's pickup service can help Manitobans save time and money.
Highly-trained grocery associates prepare the order, carefully selecting each product. Shoppers simply pull into a designated pickup parking spot, call the assigned phone number alerting an associate to their arrival and their order will be brought out to them and loaded into their vehicle. The minimum order is $50 before taxes.
"Walmart is known for saving our customers money and, with the launch of Grocery Pickup in Manitoba, we're now also helping our Manitoban customers save valuable time with grocery shopping, no matter how busy they are," said Daryl Porter, vice president of omni-channel operations and online grocery, Walmart Canada. "Manitobans have been asking for this service and we're proud to offer it as we continue to improve, expand and grow our services so customers can shop however they want, whenever it's convenient for them, from wherever they are."
Customers can shop for fresh groceries, including Canada No. 1 grade fruits and vegetables and organic produce, Canadian AAA Angus beef, pork, chicken and seafood, and all fresh groceries come with a 100% satisfaction money-back guarantee. They can also shop for dairy, baked goods, deli and frozen foods, as well as health and beauty products, household supplies, pet food, baby food, diapers, and more through Walmart Grocery Pickup.
Walmart is committed to making every day a little easier for busy families in Manitoba. Today's launch complements Walmart's ever-expanding shopping offerings such as Walmart Grocery Pickup, grocery delivery, free shipping to store for non-grocery items (electronics, apparel, etc.), and more than one million items available on walmart.ca.
