Arts Health Network Canada leads
VANCOUVER, Nov. 1, 2016 /CNW/ - At Arts Health Network Canada (AHNC) we focus on the connection between the arts and their positive effects on health and wellbeing. In November, we lend our voice to Arts & Health Month - an internationally-recognized event. November is an opportunity for organizations and individuals worldwide to promote the integration of the arts into a wide variety of health care and community settings for therapeutic, educational, and expressive purposes.
During November, Arts & Health leaders from around the world promote Arts & Health Month as a time to host awareness-raising events, heighten media attention, and encourage more people to engage with the arts, for the health of it!
"Arts & Health is a growing field internationally that demonstrates how many different kinds of art activities – including literary, performing, visual arts and design – provide health benefits for both individuals and communities," says Ludmila Jagiellicz, president of the board of directors for AHNC. "Join us to help raise awareness about the role of arts in health and in creating more supportive healthcare environments. Share the message of arts and health and encourage your family and friends to engage in arts programs aimed at a healthier life.
