TORONTO, Jan. 14, 2013 /CNW/ - NorthWest International Healthcare Properties Real Estate Investment Trust (TSXV: MOB.UN) (the "REIT") announced today that pursuant to the underwriting agreement dated December 7, 2012 between the REIT and a syndicate of underwriters led by GMP Securities L.P. and National Bank Financial Inc. and including Scotia Capital Inc., Canaccord Genuity Corp., Desjardins Securities Inc. and Macquarie Capital Markets Canada Ltd. (the "Underwriters"), the Underwriters have exercised their option and completed their purchase of 850,900 additional units of the REIT at a price of $2.00 per unit for an aggregate consideration of $1,701,800. The net proceeds to the REIT from the exercise of the over-allotment option are expected to be used for advancing the REIT's international healthcare real estate strategy, potential future acquisitions and ongoing operating and working capital requirements.
