-Infiniti has best-ever sales month; Nissan LEAF has best month since launch-
MISSISSAUGA, ON, April 2, 2013 /CNW/ - Nissan today reported Canadian monthly sales with the Infiniti luxury brand recording its best-ever sales month of 1,024 units, up 16.1 per cent over the same month last year. For the first quarter, Infiniti is tracking up 24.9 per cent over Q1 2012. Nissan division sales were 7,437 units for March, down 12.9 per cent. Total Nissan Canada, Inc. sales totaled 8,461 units, down 10.2 per cent over the same month last year.
Contributing to Infiniti's record month were its luxury crossover and sport utility vehicles, which were up 150.8 per cent. The Infiniti JX 7-passenger luxury crossover, which launched almost a year ago, remains the best-seller in the line-up with sales of 350 units in March. Sales of the Infiniti EX were up 30.6 per cent with 188 units.
Nissan LEAF sales totaled 82 deliveries, up 310 per cent and the nameplate's best month since launch. The all-new 2013 Sentra sedan and Nissan Pathfinder recorded impressive year-over-year increases of 48.9 and 262.6 per cent, respectively. The Rogue is the most popular vehicle in the Nissan line-up in March with sales of 1,584 units.
NCI MARCH 2013 HIGHLIGHTS:
- Infiniti has best-ever monthly sales of 1,024, up 16.1 per cent
