- Rogue, Sentra and Pathfinder Sales Increase 31.9, 22.3 and 269.1 per cent, Respectively -
MISSISSAUGA, ON, July 3, 2013 /CNW/ - Nissan today reported June Canadian sales of 8,889 units, a decrease of 10 per cent from last year. Nissan Division sales totaled 8,196 deliveries, down 10.1 per cent, while Infiniti deliveries totaled 693 units, a decrease of 8.3 per cent over 2012.
"The redesign of our core products such as Altima, Sentra and Pathfinder continues to drive sales in our Nissan dealers," said Christian Meunier, President of Nissan Canada Inc. "The arrival of the all-new Versa Note, the fourth of five all-new core models for Nissan, has been much anticipated and will keep our showrooms busy this summer."
NISSAN HIGHLIGHTS:
- Nissan Division sales totaled 8,196 units in June
- The NV full-size commercial vehicle line-up achieved best-ever sales this month with 132 units sold, while the Nissan Titan sold 399 units for its strongest June on record
- Deliveries of the Pathfinder SUV rose 269.1 per cent to 598 units sold. So far in 2013, Pathfinder sales are up 212.6 per cent, exceeding the sales total for all of 2012.
- Nissan Rogue was the strongest seller in the line-up with a 22.3 per cent year-over-year increase and 1,740 units sold
- Nissan Sentra continued its strong sales with 1,721 units sold, an increase of 31.9 per cent over 2012
- The new addition to Nissan's commercial vehicle line-up - the all-new NV200 compact commercial van - continued its encouraging start to Canadian sales with 52 units sold
- June marked the first deliveries of the all-new 2014 Versa Note, offering class-leading fuel economy, cutting-edge technologies, an energetic exterior design, roomy and versatile interior and available activity enhancing features such as hands-free text messaging assistant, making it an ideal fit for buyer's needs.
INFINITI HIGHLIGHTS:
- Infiniti sales totaled 693 units, down 8.3 per cent over June 2012
- Infiniti JX continued to be the brand's top seller with 305 units
- Sales of the Infiniti G and Infiniti EX remained strong in June, with 178 and 109 units sold respectively
