Nissan Group Reports September Canadian Sales

MISSISSAUGA, ON, Oct. 1, 2014 /CNW/ - Nissan Group today announced total Canadian sales for September of 10,942 units, an increase of 27.8 per cent versus the same month last year. In addition to being its best September ever, this sales achievement marks 14 consecutive months of record sales growth and the seventh straight month of sales exceeding the 10,000 unit mark for the Nissan Group in Canada.

The Nissan brand increased 30.7 per cent with 10,049 units sold, setting a monthly sales record. The Infiniti brand also set a monthly sales record with 893 units sold, an increase of 1.9 per cent over the same period last year.

Nissan Division September highlights:

• September marks the seventh consecutive month of sales surpassing 10,000 units for the Nissan Group.
• Best September on record for the Nissan Division at 10,049 sales, an increase of 30.7 per cent.
• The all-new Nissan Rogue crossover set a September sales record with 2,800 units sold, an increase of 84 per cent.
• Murano mid-size crossover sales increased 124 per cent to 721 in September.
• Frontier set an all-time monthly sales record with 494 units sold, an increase of 139 per cent.
• Sales of the all-new Nissan Micra totalled 969 units this month.
• Best September on record for the all-electric Nissan LEAF with 113 deliveries, an increase of 214 per cent over last year.
• Sales of Sentra increased 57 per cent in September with 1,550 deliveries.

Infiniti Division September highlights:

• Best September on record with 893 Infiniti units sold.
