Nissan Group Reports January Canadian Sales

MISSISSAUGA, ON, Feb. 3, 2014 /CNW/ - Nissan Group today announced total Canadian sales for January of 7,122 units, an increase of 12.0 per cent and a January record. This sales achievement marks 18 consecutive months of record sales growth for the Nissan Group in Canada.

The Nissan brand increased 15 per cent with 6,465 units sold, setting a January sales record. The Infiniti brand reported sales of 657 vehicles in January, a decrease of 10.7 per cent.

Nissan Division January highlights:

• Best January on record for the Nissan Division at 6,465 sales, an increase of 15 per cent.
• In its first full month of sale, the all-new Nissan Murano crossover recorded its best January ever with 573 units sold, an increase of 274 per cent over last year.
• The Nissan Rogue crossover set a January sales record with 1,874 units sold, marking 12 consecutive months of record sales.
• Sales of the NV200 compact cargo van recorded its best January ever with 97 units sold, up 18 per cent over the previous year.
• Sales of the Nissan Micra subcompact totalled 679 units in January.

• Infiniti reported sales of 657 vehicles during January.
