MISSISSAUGA, ON, Sept. 3, 2014 /CNW/ - Nissan Group today announced total Canadian sales for August of 10,801 units, an increase of 31.8 per cent and an August record. This sales achievement marks 13 consecutive months of record sales growth and the sixth straight month of sales exceeding the 10,000 unit mark for the Nissan Group in Canada.
The Nissan brand increased 36.3 per cent with 9,924 units sold, setting a monthly sales record. The Infiniti brand decreased 3.9 per cent over the same period last year, with 877 units sold.
Nissan Division August highlights:
- Best August on record for the Nissan Group at 10,801 sales, an increase of 31.8 per cent.
- August marks the sixth consecutive month of sales surpassing 10,000 units.
- The all-new Nissan Rogue crossover set an August sales record with 2,800 units sold, a 73 per cent increase.
- Murano mid-size crossover sales increased 115 per cent to 582 in August.
- Sales of the all-new Nissan Micra totalled 870 units this month.
- Best August on record for the all-electric Nissan LEAF with 113 deliveries, an increase of 101 per cent over last year.
- Sales of the NV200 compact cargo van set an August record at 94 units, marking an increase of 44 per cent over the previous year.
Infiniti Division August highlights:
- In August, 877 Infiniti units were sold.
