All-new sketch comedy series premieres Monday, January 28 at 8 p.m. ET/PT
TORONTO, Jan. 15, 2013 /CNW/ - Incredible Crew is a live-action, half-hour, sketch comedy series from producer and entertainer Nick Cannon premiering on Cartoon Network Monday, January 28 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Every episode of this high-energy, fast-paced show delivers hilarious comedy bits, outrageous hidden camera pranks, original music videos and commercial parodies, all with a distinct attitude - a contemporary blend of internet sensibility mixed with kid imagination. Incredible Crew showcases six up-and-coming young comedy stars featured in diverse roles in every genre: a rap video called "Running Errands with my Mom," a skit about a sensitive Viking named Olaf, a riff on school bus news and an absurd pizza dance.
Cartoon Network's Incredible Crew is led by teen stars Shauna Case (American Horror Story), Shameik Moore (Joyful Noise), Tristan Pasterick, Chanelle Peloso (Level Up), Jeremy Shada (Adventure Time) and Brandon Soo Hoo (Enders Game, Tropic Thunder). This super-crew of comedy are all multi-talented performers that dance, sing and oh yeah … bring the funny!
Nick Cannon serves as executive producer of Incredible Crew, along with Michael Goldman and Scott Tomlinson. Cannon wrote and produced the Incredible Crew theme song in addition to producing original music for the series. The series is produced by Cartoon Network Studios in association with NCredible Entertainment.
Nick Cannon made his television debut as a teenage sketch comedian on the series All That where he was also a writer, making him the youngest staff writer in television history at the age of 17. Cannon catapulted onto the big screen in 2002 where he appeared alongside Will Smith in Men in Black II before landing a leading role in Drumline. He hosted Wild 'N Out, a show that he created and executive produced for MTV, which was the network's highest-rated comedy series in its history. In the fall of 2006, Cannon was featured in the film, Bobby, where his performance earned him a 2007 SAG nomination as well as being the first African American actor to be honored at the Cannes Film Festival with the "Breakthrough Actor of the Year" award. Most recently, Cannon can be seen as the host of NBC's America's Got Talent as well as a series regular on Up All Night, which earned him recognition at this year's 2012 NAACP Image Awards for "Outstanding Supporting Actor."
Following the premiere, viewers can catch new episodes of Incredible Crew every Monday at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Cartoon Network.
