As the GTAA continues to evolve to better serve our customers and be more competitive, it was important for this position to be filled by an individual who, in addition to having the necessary executive level skills and experience, reflects the values of our organization. The new title - People and Culture - is an important change and reflects the GTAA's desire to build on our current focus on the people who work here and the total employment experience that we offer.
The GTAA is the non-share, not for profit authority that operates Toronto Pearson. All revenue generated by the GTAA is reinvested back into the airport. In 2009, 30.4 million passengers travelled through Toronto Pearson.
