New track "Let's Bounce" - Apollo Studios making its mark in Cannes

MONTREAL, June 3, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - Canadian music company, Apollo Studios (apollostudios.com), has created another memorable original composition screened at this year's Cannes Film Festival, Short Film Corner. Apollo Studios has collaborated with director Guillaume Blanchet on his short film, "Bounce, this is not a freestyle movie".  "Let's Bounce" & "The Credit Song" , the tracks for the film, were written and performed by in house composer Etienne Gaudreau as well as Apollo Studios longtime collaborators, Dominic Voyer and Montreal based hip hop artist B.U. Just like many other Apollo hits, the track on Blanchet's film has received such great feedback that it has been made available to the public on iTunes.

"The film was shot somewhat in a music video style with fast vignettes. The track had to compliment the pace and story being told" said Apollo Studios CEO Philippe Aubert Messier. "The choice was obvious to work with Voyer and B.U", added Messier. The song is an original composition recorded in Apollo's Montreal based studio, they have additional studios and offices in Toronto, LA and most recently New York..

The film accompanies Blanchet on a two-year journey around the world with only his faithful companion, a soccer ball.  "Bounce turned out to be a combination of things I value most: travel, filmmaking, soccer and friendship", Guillaume Blanchet said. The short film takes viewers on Blanchet's great journey through sun, sand and snow with the thoughtfully composed track brilliantly supporting the story

Hip hop artist B.U, featured on the "Let's Bounce" has spent a decade performing and collaborating with big name stars including A-Kon, Elephant Man, T.O.K., Rah Digga and Freeman and is now set to release his first solo album.

Apollo Studios is no stranger to Cannes, having previously worked on the music for award winning television campaigns that won at the Cannes Lions Festival, including last years Louis Vuitton campaign featuring Yassin Bey.
