New Teacher Ambassadors in Your Community
OTTAWA, Jan. 6, 2014 /CNW/ - The Nutrients for Life Foundation Canada, a registered Canadian educational charity, has hired three new Teacher Ambassadors to join their team. Teacher Ambassadors promote plant nutrient educational programming and built strong relationships with educators throughout Canada. The three new Teacher Ambassadors are located in Saskatoon, Ottawa and Moncton.
Nutrients for Life hired passionate, dedicated and motivated people who would provide the local community with information on plant nutrients by visiting local schools, interacting with teachers, promoting Nutrients for Life's resources to educators and holding local professional development days in partnership with local school divisions. Teacher Ambassadors are not only passionate about education, agriculture, and nutrition, but they also complement each other with their very diverse experiences and educational backgrounds.
Ivanka Siolkowsky is an experienced teacher who loves not only to teach, but to continue to learn. With a Master's of Science in Education, certification as a teacher in Canada, New York State, and the United Kingdom, her combination of education and diverse experience are a great addition to the team. Ivanka is based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and plans to do outreach to schools located in Saskatoon, Regina and the surrounding areas.
With an educational background in Environmental Science, experience as an entrepreneur and a personal trainer, Matthew Linsdell, is an exciting new addition to the Nutrients for Life team. Matthew has said he takes an "evidence-based teaching approach" to communicate the science of exercise to clients effectively and simply.
Located in Moncton, New Brunswick, Tamara Sealy has been following Nutrients for Life for a number of years and was excited to bring the curriculum and programming to the east. She is a former Plant Science Technician from the former Nova Scotia Agricultural College where she majored in Agronomy. Tamara is truly passionate about the agricultural industry and believes in the phrase, "Farmers Feed Families", and wants to educate the public on how and where their food comes from.
