PETERBOROUGH, ON, Feb. 11, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - ANDRITZ HYDRO, a world market leader in the supply of electromechanical systems and services for hydropower plants, announced the grand opening of its first stator coil manufacturing facility in Peterborough, Ontario. To meet the demand in the North American market, this 17,000 square foot facility will use press curing technology to supply stator coils for use in new and refurbished hydropower generators. First stator coil deliveries are scheduled for summer 2014.
With this investment - supported by the Eastern Ontario Development Fund - ANDRITZ HYDRO is creating new jobs and business growth, all the while maintaining its current engineering design and sales office, in Ontario.
