New Flyer's Crookston, Minnesota Union to Hold Ratification Vote on New Collective Agreement
WINNIPEG, Dec. 11, 2015 /CNW/ - (TSX: NFI) (TSX: NFI.DB.U) New Flyer of America Inc., a subsidiary of New Flyer Industries Inc. ("New Flyer" or the "Company"), the leading manufacturer of heavy-duty transit buses in the United States and Canada announced today that the Company and the Communication Workers of America collective bargaining unit at New Flyer's Crookston, MN facility have reached a tentative new five-year collective bargaining agreement. The members of the bargaining unit will hold a ratification vote on the new agreement on Saturday December 19, 2015. The current collective bargaining agreement expires on December 31, 2015.
The Crookston plant's unionized workforce represents approximately 8 percent of New Flyer's total workforce in the United States and Canada.
