MONTREAL, Feb. 27, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - Normand Champigny, Chair of the Board of Directors of Minalliance, is pleased to announce the appointment of Isabelle Poirier as its Executive Director.
"An experienced communicator and an expert in economic development, Isabelle Poirier has led initiatives particularly in the resource field. Her mandate is to help us continue the dialogue with the Quebec public on the economic, social and environmental issues associated with development of the mineral industry. Her appointment shows our wish to maintain the mineral industry's commitment to raising awareness of this sector of the economy and its key contribution to the economic growth of Quebec and its communities," said Normand Champigny.
"I am thrilled at this challenge," said the new Executive Director. "With the support of the Board of Directors of Minalliance and in close cooperation with the Quebec Mining Association (AMQ) and the Quebec Mineral Exploration Association (AEMQ), I am already tackling the job of increasing awareness of the mineral industry - its reality, strong points, challenges and potential for citizens of Quebec."

She has more than 15 years of experience in business intelligence, communications and marketing, including development of communications and digital marketing strategies.
