Kimberly Carson builds on the Breast Cancer Society of Canada's 25 years of success
SARNIA, ON, Nov. 6, 2015 /CNW/ - The Breast Cancer Society of Canada (BCSC) is proud to announce its new Chief Executive Officer, Kimberly Carson.
Kimberly Carson is a communications and development professional with over 25 years of experience in the nonprofit sector.
This year, the Board of Directors prepared a new strategic plan and organizational review to match BCSC's steady growth and success. With the retirement of the past Executive Director, the Board searched nationally to find a replacement, holding a new title, Chief Executive Officer, to match BCSC's growth and progress.
Board President, Ann E Smith, Q.C., welcomes Kimberly Carson saying, "It is our pleasure to bring Kimberly Carson, a hardworking leader with strong experience to the Breast Cancer Society of Canada. Ms. Carson will help lead this charity in growth to effect even more advancements in Canadian breast cancer research and treatment."
"I am honoured to join the Breast Cancer Society of Canada, a charity that truly impacts the lives of people experiencing breast cancer. BCSC is poised for growth which presents the extraordinary opportunity to help more Canadians suffering with breast cancer," says Kimberly Carson.
BCSC will continue to fund patient-focused research that encourages collaboration between treatment physicians and researchers, and truly impacts breast cancer patients. By continually expanding research funding BCSC will be able to support more student researchers and senior scientists across the country.
