VANCOUVER, March 31, 2017 /CNW/ - Nevada Sunrise Gold Corporation ("Nevada Sunrise" or the "Company") (TSXV: NEV) announced today that its shareholders voted in favour of all items of business brought before them at the Company's Annual General meeting (the "AGM") held on March 31, 2017, in Vancouver, BC, Canada.
At the AGM, shareholders voted in favour of all nominations to the Board of Directors (the "Board"), with Michael Sweatman, Warren Stanyer, Suraj Ahuja, Cory Kent and Charles Roy each re-elected to the Board. Shareholders also reappointed Davidson and Co. LLP, Chartered Accountants, as the auditor of the Company, and approved the Company's stock option plan.
Subsequent to the AGM, the Board re-appointed Michael Sweatman as Chairman, Warren Stanyer as President and Chief Executive Officer, Brent Petterson, CPA, as Chief Financial Officer, and Christina Boddy as Corporate Secretary. The Board also confirmed nominations for the Audit, Compensation and Technical Committees, and adopted an Advance Notice Policy to facilitate the orderly nomination of directors to the Board. Nevada Sunrise is a junior mineral exploration company with a strong technical team based in Vancouver, BC, Canada, that holds interests in nine mineral exploration projects in the State of Nevada, USA. (TSX: PLG) at Kinsley Mountain near Wendover, a 100% interest in the Golden Arrow project near Tonopah, and an option to earn a 100% interest in the Roulette gold property in the southeastern Carlin trend near Ely, with each of the properties subject to certain production royalties.
