VANCOUVER, Oct. 1 /CNW/ - International Bio Recovery Corporation ("IBR") (TSX-V-IBR) today signed a Contribution Agreement with the National Research Council of Canada's Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC-IRAP), which will support IBR in its innovative research and development program with a research contribution of up to $78,000.
This research funding will support IBR's in-house R&D program to understand the scientific basics and commercial potentials of the plant growth/health promoting compounds responsible for the value of Genica soil fertility products produced through EATAD process. This is spin-off research of an earlier NRC-IRAP supported project and the results from this latest project will be instrumental in the rapid development and commercialization of a unique microbial technology that has the potential to dramatically reduce chemical agro-inputs in commercial agriculture. The outcome of the project would also help IBR to develop quality control methodology for the Genica soil fertility products produced from organic wastes.
NRC-IRAP provides a range of both technical and business-oriented advisory services along with potential financial support to qualified innovative Canadian small- and medium-sized enterprises. Financial assistance for this project is a direct result of the Government of Canada's Economic Action Plan. More information about NRC-IRAP is available at www.irap-pari.nrc.gc.ca.
Located in North Vancouver, BC, IBR is committed to research and development to continue to improve the efficiency of its technology and the quality of Genica branded fertility products. It is further committed to developing a world wide marketing capability to ensure market acceptance the fertility products.
