/CNW/ - National Money Mart announced today the launch of a major fundraising campaign to assist victims in
Haiti
suffering from the effects of last week's devastating earthquake.
Money Mart locations are now accepting contributions from the public at all of its 460 locations across
Canada
. All donations (combined with funds raised in the U.S.) will be matched by Money Mart's parent company - Dollar Financial Group - up to US$50,000.
All money raised by Money Mart will be donated to the Canadian Red Cross. In addition, the total funds raised in
Canada
by
February 12, 2010
will be eligible for the government match program sponsored by the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) up to a maximum of
$50,000,000
.
Every donation Money Mart receives in
Canada
in excess of
$10
will be eligible for a tax receipt issued by the Canadian Red Cross.
