MONTREAL, Jan. 31, 2019 /CNW Telbec/ - OSMO and National Bank are proud to announce a partnership aimed at supporting the development and growth of Montreal's startup ecosystem by fostering collaboration between all stakeholders in the ecosystem.
OSMO is a non-profit organization that facilitates the creation and growth of startups, cultivates and guides entrepreneurial talent, mobilizes stakeholders in the ecosystem and contributes to its local and international reach. OSMO's objective is to position Montreal in the top 20 of the global business ecosystem.
"National Bank was founded by entrepreneurs for entrepreneurs. That's why we're proud to support OSMO in creating an ecosystem that will encourage collaboration among all stakeholders in Montreal's entrepreneurial community. Entrepreneurship in the city is booming and represents an important driver of innovation for economic and social development in Quebec," says Louis Vachon, President and Chief Executive Officer of National Bank.
This contribution from National Bank is fully aligned with OSMO's vision to bring together startups and large institutions in the private sector.
"Entrepreneurs and organizations have a huge interest in working hand in hand. OSMO's mission is to develop more and more corporate partnerships in the upcoming years, and it's with great pride that we count on National Bank as one of our key partners," says Patrick Gagné, CEO of OSMO.
National Bank has been a partner of the Notman House and OSMO since 2013. This collaboration has enabled OSMO to support over 150 Montreal startups in their development, contributing to the creation of more than 1,000 jobs.
OSMO's mandate is to support the development of the Montreal startup ecosystem since 2009. Its first initiative was to create the Notman House, a unique physical space to support startups and entrepreneurship and to help grow the local startup community with an open, inspiring and collaborative approach.
