TORONTO, Jan. 26, 2012 /CNW/ - NARIA has been chosen to be showcased at MIDEM 2012; the international music conference in Cannes, France. NARIA is the only North American group selected to perform their music for fans and top industry professionals. NARIA received this honour after finishing in an outstanding second place over hundreds of submissions in the MIDEM OFF worldwide public voting competition. MIDEM's panel of judges then selected the three most promising acts to perform in Cannes. NARIA's showcase is Saturday, January 28th at 8:00 pm: Cannes; Morrison's Lounge.
Katya Tchoubar, member and founder, sopranos Anna Bateman and Michelle Danese and pop vocalist, Annaliese Jelilian, established NARIA to be one of the most exciting crossover groups to hit the musical scene. Their debut album, NARIA Opera Pop Supernova, features 8 original compositions with their sound being described as "Harmonious & Innovative."
