NANAIMO, BC, Oct. 15, 2012 /CNW/ - On October 18th, 2012 the newest innovation recently commissioned at the Nanaimo Bioenergy Centre, a Double Membrane Biogas Holder will be featured at the first annual Fall Innovation Workshop. The Collaborative partners and stakeholders of the Centre, together with leaders in the bioenergy community are participating in this one day event at the Cedar Community Hall. An official opening and ribbon cutting at the Nanaimo Bioenergy Centre will take place on October 18th, 2012 at 3:00 pm as part of the Fall Innovation Workshop (see event notice here).
"The introduction of this storage technology from Austria is a new biogas utilization platform for landfills," says Paul Liddy, Managing Director, Cedar Road Bioenergy Inc. "This innovation will advance the North American landfill energy sector in delivering improved economic viability to biogas capture and utilization. Nanaimo is leading with the introduction of this technology into such applications in North America." The Fall Innovation Workshop will announce and share the technical and economic benefits of a grouping of technology platforms introduced at the centre.
