MyRacehorse expands into Canada in partnership with Woodbine Entertainment, offering Canadian racing fans a new way to experience Thoroughbred ownership
TORONTO, Oct. 8, 2026 /CNW/ -- MyRacehorse, the global leader in fractional racehorse ownership, today announced its expansion into Canada in partnership with Woodbine Entertainment, giving racing fans across the country the opportunity to experience Thoroughbred racing as owners.
MyRacehorse enables virtually anyone to enjoy the thrill of racehorse ownership. Owners enjoy exclusive behind-the-scenes content and insights, opportunities to attend morning training and paddock tours, and race day experiences--including the chance to celebrate in the winner's circle. They can also help name their horse and share in the potential financial outcomes of racehorse ownership.
By making fractional ownership available for as little as $100 CAD per share, with a one-time payment, MyRacehorse opens the door to an experience once out of reach for many racing fans.
"Fractional ownership is transforming the racehorse ownership landscape, and we believe the category is still in its early stages," said Michael Behrens, Founder and CEO of MyRacehorse. "We see shared ownership as one of the most important innovations in horse racing and a growing force in the sport's future around the world. MyRacehorse is proud to be helping lead that transformation."
"MyRacehorse has demonstrated how fractional ownership can bring more people into the sport and give them a meaningful connection to racing," said Michael Copeland, CEO of Woodbine Entertainment. "Their proven track record and commitment to the ownership experience make them a strong partner for Woodbine. We're proud to work together to bring this opportunity to Canadian fans and welcome a new community of owners to our racetrack."
MyRacehorse Launches in Canada Video
The first offering for the Canadian launch is Atlantic Voyage '24, a Canadian-bred two-year-old filly by Charlatan, out of Atlantic Voyage. Trained by Hall of Fame trainer Josie Carroll, she is targeting a debut in the next month at Woodbine Racetrack. As a half-sister to two-time Canadian Champion and Woodbine Oaks winner Curlin's Voyage, she brings a proven Canadian pedigree to the launch.
The launch also reunites MyRacehorse with Carroll, who trained MyRacehorse's Duke of Love to victory in the 2022 Prince of Wales Stakes.
"Through Duke of Love, I've seen firsthand how MyRacehorse connects owners to their horse and how meaningful it is for them to be part of the experience," said Josie Carroll, Canadian Racing Hall of Fame trainer. "I'm excited to train Atlantic Voyage '24 for a new group of Canadian owners and give them an inside look at her development--from her morning preparations and training through to race day."
Today, MyRacehorse has more than 100,000 owners across the United States, Australia, the United Kingdom, and New Zealand. MyRacehorse horses have competed and won at the highest levels of the sport, including the Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes, and Breeders' Cup.
Among its notable success stories is Seize the Grey, whose fractional owners celebrated his victory in the 2024 Preakness Stakes. MyRacehorse was also part of the ownership group for Authentic, winner of the 2020 Kentucky Derby and Breeders' Cup Classic.
