Blockbuster Fairy-Tale Movie Featuring All-Star Cast Led by Meryl Streep and Johnny Depp Opens Christmas Day Everywhere
TORONTO, Aug 2, 2014 /CNW/ - I wish!
The graduating students of Toronto's Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts, Canada's premiere Triple Threat post-secondary training program, appearing in the academy's production of Stephen Sondheim's "Into the Woods" received quite a surprise Friday night . Among backstage visitors congratulating them was David Krane, the music arranger of Disney's forthcoming musical adaptation starring Meryl Streep and Johnny Depp.
Krane, a prominent Broadway, Film and TV composer, is no stranger to Toronto, having contributed to such Tony Award-winning musicals as "Ragtime," "Show Boat" and "Kiss of the Spider Woman" that each received their world premiere here. Krane also composed dance music and music arrangements for the Academy Award Best Picture "Chicago," directed by Rob Marshall who is also directing "Into the Woods." The film opens Christmas Day.
