Muk-lucky! Oprah Helps Put Manitobah's Best Boot Forward

Native-owned footwear company brings aboriginal music and dance show to Toronto shoe store

WINNIPEG, Nov. 19 /CNW Telbec/ - Following their inclusion in O Magazine's November edition, Manitobah Mukluks, a Native-owned Canadian manufacturer of traditional footwear is bringing aboriginal performers to Capezio in Yorkdale Mall in Toronto. The show takes place on Saturday, November 21 at 1:30 pm.

The event features traditional dances, Aboriginal DJs and a product history and knowledge session for staff and customers. It is in celebration of Manitobah's agreement with Capezio, the latest world-leading fashion retailer to carry the company's authentic footwear.

"Having Oprah order Manitobah mukluks and include us in her magazine opened up a lot of doors," said Sean McCormick, Manitobah's Métis founder. "It makes us proud to share our authentic boots with the world. The native community really benefits from this kind of success."

At the Capezio event, Cree dancer and Manitobah's Brand Architect, Greg Dreaver, will entertain and educate customers while Aboriginal Voices Radio's Plex and DJ Divinyl spin a custom "Manitobah Mix." Mr. Dreaver will be available for media interviews.
