More women proud to say they "Swing Like a Girl"

August clinics still available for the successful women-focused golf program

KELOWNA, BC, July 18, 2012 /CNW/ - One month into the "Swing Like A Girl" program, Predator Ridge Resort is proud to announce that the program has been a great success in encouraging ladies to take on the game of golf. The women-only clinics and camps taught by a specially selected team of Canadian PGA pros, including former LPGA pro, AJ Eathorne, give ladies the opportunity to challenge themselves or simply play a relaxing game with friends.

"The success of the Swing Like A Girl program confirms that women are embracing the game of golf like never before," says AJ Eathorne. "We want women to leave the clinic feeling more confident in their game and are so proud of the progress we have already seen."

The "Swing Like a Girl" series caters to all female golfers, from beginner to experienced, and is designed as an informative and fun approach for lady golfers. Scheduled throughout the season, these five hour clinics, sponsored by TaylorMade, cover all aspects of the game including full swing fundamentals, equipment, rules, short game instruction and etiquette. The one-day clinics cost $175 per person. Two-day "Short Game" clinics are also available from $100 per person.

"The Swing Like A Girl program was developed in response to the sheer number of women who want to learn how to golf, but felt that programming was geared more toward men," says Eathorne. "With these clinics, our aim is to break down the barriers and create a comfortable and fun environment to learn the game of golf."
