TORONTO, May 28, 2013 /CNW/ - The Board of Directors of Moneris Solutions Corporation ("Moneris") today announced the appointment of Angela Brown as President and CEO, effective mid June 2013. Brown's mandate is to continue to position Moneris as the leading merchant services and card processing provider in North America.
Brown was most recently group executive, Enterprise Development Merchants & Acceptance at MasterCard Worldwide Inc., based in Purchase, New York. Prior to that, Brown has held various executive roles in Canada and the U.S., including CIBC where she was senior vice-president, Payments Products, responsible for the development and implementation of an integrated payments strategy across all customer segments.
"With more than 25 years experience in the payments industry, Angela has strong business and leadership skills and extensive expertise of the payments landscape, both in Canada and the U.S.," said Andrea Bolger, Chair of the Moneris Board of Directors. Brown holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Schulich School of Business and is also an active member of several advisory boards.
