OTTAWA, May 11, 2017 /CNW/ - The relationship between Canada and the United States is among the closest of any two countries in the world. Millions of good, middle class jobs on both sides of the border depend on the robust trade and investment ties between our two countries
Today, the Honourable Karina Gould, Minister of Democratic Institutions, announced she will visit Buffalo and area from May 17 to 19, 2017, to highlight how residents of the state of New York, and the people of Canada, benefit significantly from this continuing partnership. It is in the interest of both Canada and the state of New York that we continue working together to advance our economic, trade and financial ties, which will lead to good, well-paying jobs and better living standards for the middle class.
"Canada, especially around the Greater Golden Horseshoe, and the state of New York are linked by family, culture, shared history and vibrant, prosperous trade. Together we have built productive, interconnected and enduring economic and business relationships. I am looking forward to celebrating the work we have done together and reiterating the important work ahead to make sure that we continue on this positive path to ensure our long-term growth and success."
