Middleton Group jazzes up TD music festival advertising with custom LED lightboxes
Visual merchandising company thrilled by 8-year relationship with festival sponsor and Toronto Downtown Jazz Society
TORONTO, June 28, 2013 /CNW/ - It's finally summer and Canadians are looking forward to enjoying more sunshine, cottage living and, of course, outdoor concerts. The summer festival season has started up again with the 2013 TD Toronto Jazz Festival. With major headliners like Willie Nelson and Smokey Robinson, this year's line-up won't disappoint.
Middleton Group has been proud to work with the event's title sponsor, TD Canada Trust, since 2001. For eight jazz festival seasons, Middleton Group has partnered with the Toronto Downtown Jazz society, providing large format printing services and installing the banners and signage at numerous venues across the city.
"Our work can be seen at various clubs in Toronto, as well as at Massey Hall and Nathan Phillips Square, the heart of the music festival," says Middleton Group creative director Tony Spagnolo.
This year, Middleton Group's retail display design team added another element to the festival. Running along Queen Street in front of Nathan Phillips Square, Middleton Group has installed six double-sided LED light boxes. "Our in-house staff designed, manufactured and installed these pieces, which act as a key advertising tool for the TD Toronto Jazz Festival," says Spagnolo.
The metal fabricated light boxes are 7 feet high by 4 feet wide, with LED light panels mounted on each side. "They are finished in TD green with the highly recognizable TD logo at the top," notes Spagnolo. "They are sure to grab the attention of passersby, bringing more notice to the jazz festival."
If you drive north or south on the Don Valley Parkway, or east or west on the 401, you can look up and see the TD Toronto Jazz Festival bridge banners supplied by Middleton Group.
"We're proud to have manufactured and installed signs and banners that have been viewed by millions of music fans over the years," says Spagnolo.
The TD Toronto Jazz Festival runs from June 20th to 29th. The festival is one of North America's premier jazz festivals, produced annually by Toronto Downtown Jazz, a Canadian registered charity. What began in 1987 as an eight-day showcase of jazz now attracts more than 500,000 patrons annually over 10 days. More than 1,500 musicians will perform at 40 locations around the city.
