Metro Vancouver Alliance organizes candidates meeting in Vancouver Granville, calls on politicians to support initiatives around Social Inclusion, Affordable Housing, Income Justice, and Transit
VANCOUVER, Sept. 30, 2015 /CNW/ - Representatives from the Metro Vancouver Alliance's over 50 member organizations will make presentations on four issues - social inclusion, transit, income justice, and affordable housing - to candidates in the upcoming federal election and ask for a response and a commitment to work with MVA to make Metro Vancouver a better place for all.
At MVA's Municipal Election Accountability Assembly on October 19, 2014, MVA's member organizations received commitments from local politicians, including Vancouver Mayor Gregor Robertson, on a civic agenda. At the Federal Election Assembly MVA member organizations will be asking candidates in the Vancouver Granville riding to support these initiatives at the federal level.

Mira Oreck (NDP), Jody Wilson-Raybould (Liberal), Erinn Broshko (Conservative), and Michael Barkusky (Green) have all been invited to MVA's first Federal Election Assembly.
