TORONTO, Oct. 1, 2014 /CNW/ - Tim A. Reuss, President and CEO of Mercedes-Benz Canada, and several company executives, recently joined Sam Eltes and Jonathan Eltes, Dealer Principals, as well as Gary Williams, General Manager, to turn over the first shovelful of soil of the future Brampton-based facility.
The group was also joined by Rob Girouard, General Manager of Silver Star Mercedes-Benz located in Montréal, Québec. As the second Mercedes-Benz banner for this organization, Mercedes-Benz Brampton will benefit from a wealth of experience that comes from managing one of the largest existing retail operations in Canada.
The construction of the new retail facility began in August on a 6-acre site located on the south east corner of Mayfield Road at Highway 410. Scheduled to be fully operational by May 2015, the 60,000 sq ft state-of-the-art dealership will be the new home for the Mercedes-Benz, AMG and smart brands in Brampton. With 30,000 sq ft earmarked for the service area that will feature twenty-nine work bays, the new dealership will also be perfectly poised to serve the growing after-sales, parts and accessories needs of valued Mercedes-Benz customers in the area.
The overall layout of the entire facility will follow the Auto Haus design concept, featuring extensive use of glass to promote transparency throughout the building. This exterior façade will also be adorned with the new Mercedes-Benz retail corporate identity where black coupled with accents of silver, reminiscent of the three-pointed star, will replace the blue colours traditionally seen in Mercedes-Benz stores.
"Sam Eltes is a long-time trusted partner of Mercedes-Benz Canada and it is our pleasure to welcome him and his team to the Greater Toronto Area. They bring a great deal of experience and knowledge which will make the start up process smoother and more fluid for the benefit of their new customers," said Tim A. Reuss, President and CEO of Mercedes-Benz Canada. "This new facility will also provide another convenient point of sales and service in the GTA to effectively serve the needs of existing and future customers in this important growing market."
From his side, Mr. Eltes added, "We very much look forward to expanding our business in Ontario as well as instilling this new dealership with our team's collective know-how. We also are committed to working hard to provide optimal customer care and a compelling dealership experience."
