TORONTO, Oct. 18, 2012 /CNW/ - Mercedes-Benz Canada broke ground today and celebrated the official start of construction of the new Mercedes-Benz St-Nicolas dealership. Tim A. Reuss, President and CEO of Mercedes-Benz Canada, joined Benoit and Donald Theetge, Dealer Principals, and local politicians and dignitaries from the region to mark the auspicious occasion.
Strategically located on a 3.5 acre site on Rue De l'Aréna adjacent to the Trans-Canada Highway (Autoroute Jean Lesage), the new dealership will provide a prominent corporate identity for the Mercedes-Benz, AMG and smart brands that is highly visible from the busy thoroughfare. Construction is expected to be completed in May 2013. At that time, Mercedes-Benz St-Nicolas will be ideally situated and ready to serve the sales, after-sales, parts and accessories needs of customers on the south shore of Quebec and the many communities located on the north shore near the bridges.
The 22,300 square foot retail facility will feature a 10,000 square foot showroom, and a state-of-the-art service area with 12 bays that encompasses more than 12,000 square feet. In addition, 90 underground parking spaces will guarantee that ample, climate controlled parking is available to protect customers and their vehicles from inclement weather.
The design and floor plan of the new structure will follow the Mercedes-Benz "Autohaus" concept. This proprietary blueprint makes use of large quantities of glass to create a sense of transparency and maintain a bright, open concept environment throughout the dealership.
"There is a tremendous amount of potential for growth in this region. We are pleased to welcome Benoit and Donald Theetge to our network, and look forward to working with them to further expand our reach in this important market," said Tim A. Reuss, President and CEO of Mercedes-Benz Canada. "This new dealership will provide an excellent platform to broaden our customer base when operations commence next spring."
"We are very happy to become members of the Mercedes-Benz Canada dealer network. My brother and I fully realize that this globally renowned prestigious brand will give us an excellent opportunity to meet our new clientele's expectations," said Donald Theetge.
"We very much look forward to serving proficiently not only the consumers in the greater Levis area but also those who reside and work in the Beauce, Bellechasse, Lotbinière and Montmagny regions," added Benoit Theetge.
