Medi+Sure® $0.49 Blood Glucose Test Strips Offers Astounding Savings to Régie de l'Assurance Maladie du Québec (RAMQ)

AJAX, ON, March 19, 2013 /CNW/ - The Provincial Health Care Reimbursement System in Quebec, RAMQ has approved a high quality, accurate, affordable blood glucose test strip manufactured by Medi+Sure^® Canada Inc, which may lead to annual savings of millions of dollars for the Quebec Health Care System, and it's supporting taxpayers.

At $0.49 per test strip the high quality Medi+Sure^®  product are one third less than the $0.73 per test strip that Canadian Provincial Governments have been paying for test strips as produced by large medical product manufacturers.

An estimated 760 000 people in Quebec have diabetes, 200 000 of whom are unaware that they have the disease. The World Health Organization predicts that the number of people with diabetes will double by 2025, making diabetes the new epidemic. The test strips are an essential chronic disease management tool for people with diabetes and are typically used four to eight times daily in conjunction with a blood glucose monitor that is supplied free of charge to users by the glucose strip manufacturers.
