Media/Photo Alert: PwC holds environmental cleanup as Toronto gears up for
G20 - June 25th

TORONTO, June 23 /CNW/ - On Friday, June 25th as Toronto prepares for the G20, volunteers from PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and Direct Energy will be at Tommy Thompson Park supporting the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority-a charitable organization that restores natural environments in the GTA. Onsite, 50-75 volunteers will spend the day improving the park's wetlands, planting native aquatic plants and removing non-native invasive species while preparations for the G20 take place just a short distance away.

    WHAT:  Environmental cleanup volunteer day during lead-up to G20

    WHEN:  Friday, June 25, 2010
           Anytime between 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

    WHERE: Tommy Thompson Park (
           Located at the foot of Leslie Street, south of Lakeshore Blvd
           *Organizers will meet media at the main gates (Leslie St/Unwin
           Ave) and direct to volunteer group

    WHO:   David Love, Executive Director, Toronto and Region Conservation
           Volunteers from PwC and Direct Energy

       -   Volunteers working in the wetlands of Tommy Thompson Park
