Media Notice - Government of Canada to announce investments aimed at strengthening Canada's domestic food system

OTTAWA, ON, Sept. 11, 2026 /CNW/ -- The Honourable Heath MacDonald, Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food, will be in London, Ontario, to announce federal investments with respect to Canada's National Food Security Strategy. These new investments will strengthen domestic food production and processing, support the development of infrastructure and technology, and improve food affordability and reliability for Canadians.

Minister MacDonald will be joined by Peter Fragiskatos, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, and Member of Parliament of London Centre, Arielle Kayabaga, Member of Parliament for London West, and representatives from Farm Credit Canada.
