Media Notice - Commissioner Ann Cavoukian releasing her Annual Report May 11

TORONTO, May 4 /CNW/ - Ontario Information and Privacy Commissioner, Dr. Ann Cavoukian, is releasing her 2009 Annual Report on Tuesday, May 11, 2010.

Copies of the Annual Report and a news release will be available several ways, including an expanded Annual Report section on the Commissioner's website www.ipc.on.ca. Distribution details include:

    
    -   A news release will be distributed across Ontario via CNW at
        9:30 a.m.;

    -   The Annual Report, news release and adjunct publication "A More
        Detailed Look at 2009 Access and Privacy Statistics" will be posted
        on the Commissioner's website at 9:30 a.m. (www.ipc.on.ca), along
        with many supporting resources;

    -   Copies of the Annual Report, the news release and the adjunct
        publication will be hand delivered to the Press Gallery at Queen's
        Park at 9:30 a.m.;

    -   Or, you can e-mail Bob Spence ([email protected]) prior to
        May 11 and request that PDFs of the news release and the Annual
        Report be e-mailed directly to you, at or shortly after 9:30 a.m.
        May 11. The adjunct publication - which will be of particular
        interest to media looking for the individual compliance rate (how
        quickly FOI requests were responded to) of one or more
        municipalities, police services, school boards, etc., or other
        statistics related to a specific region or community - will also be
        e-mailed on request. The adjunct publication also includes statistics
        broken down by category, such as universities or police services.
